New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chair for Indo Gambia Film and Cultural Forum appreciated by H.E. Mustapha Jawara, High Commissioner of Gambia to India for his untiring contribution to the growth of relations between India and Gambia.
The relation between India and Gambia has seen a new turn when Indo Gambia Film and Cultural Forum was created three years back by High Commission of Gambia and International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry together to develop and promote relation between the two countries.
Since then, the country of Gambia has been a part and parcel of every activity associated with art and culture conducted by ICMEI. Gambia has been partners with Global Film Festival, Global Festival of Journalism, Global literary Festival and Global Fashion Week during all these years. A scholarship of short-term course at AAFT for the deserving student to learn creative arts in India, was also handed over to the Embassy.
“I am so thankful to H.E. Mustapha Jawara High Commissioner of Gambia to India for recognizing my work towards India Gambia creative partnership for now three years. A lot is to be done and we are working towards that direction,” said Sandeep Marwah accepting the memento in a small function at High Commission of Gambia. The deputy head of the Mission Lamin E. Singhateh and Director ICMEI Rajiv Mathur were also present there.
