Dr. Sandeep Marwah Honored as “The Father of Cellphone Cinema” at Global Cellphone Cinema Summit

The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), in association with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, organized the Global Cellphone Cinema Summit at Noida Film City.

During this grand international event, the renowned media personality Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, was honored and titled as “The Father of Cellphone Cinema” by 44 delegates representing 24 countries from around the world.

The participating nations included Afghanistan, Algeria, Ethiopia, Kiribati, Niger, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Botswana, Ghana, Malawi, Nigeria, Swaziland, Uganda, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cote D’Ivoire, Guatemala, Guinea, Kyrgyzstan, Morocco, Kenya, Tanzania, and India.

Delegates from these nations shared their insights, experiences, and perspectives on the growing influence of cellphone cinema, highlighting its role in democratizing filmmaking and storytelling. The event was extensively covered by Radio Noida and MSTV, the media partners of the summit.

In recognition of his pioneering vision and immense contribution to promoting filmmaking through mobile technology, Dr. Sandeep Marwah was officially conferred the title “Father of Cellphone Cinema”, marking a proud moment for India on the global stage.
