Nepali Film Stars Anna Sharma and Pradeep Khadka Honoured at Cultural Evening Hosted by Embassy of Nepal. New Delhi: A memorable evening celebrating cinema, culture, and the enduring friendship between India and Nepal was organized by the Embassy of Nepal at Lajpat Bhawan Auditorium, under the inspiring leadership of Dr. Surendra Thapa, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Nepal.
The highlight of the event was the felicitation of celebrated Nepali film stars Anna Sharma and Pradeep Khadka, the lead actors of the feature film “Aktor”, in recognition of their outstanding contribution to Nepali cinema and their role in strengthening cultural ties between the two neighbouring nations.
Among the distinguished personalities present was Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair of the Indo Nepal Film and Cultural Forum, who had the privilege of felicitating the artists.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah said, “Cinema is one of the most powerful mediums for bringing people together beyond geographical boundaries. India and Nepal share centuries-old cultural, spiritual, and emotional bonds, and artistic collaborations such as these further strengthen our friendship. It is an honour to recognise the remarkable contribution of Anna Sharma and Pradeep Khadka to Nepali cinema and to continue building bridges between our creative communities.”
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Surendra Thapa, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Nepal, emphasized the importance of cultural diplomacy and the role of cinema in fostering mutual understanding between the people of India and Nepal.
